Andrew M. Karr
Andrew plays a key role in contributing to the success of Asterra, leveraging his extensive experience in both real estate and law. In 1994, he co-founded Merit Properties, an Austin-based leasing and property management company. After selling Merit, Andrew spent eleven years honing his legal skills in real estate and construction law, including two years as the president and general counsel of a regional title company, before ultimately co-founding Asterra in 2008.
With more than three decades of experience in the industry, Andrew has built a solid reputation as a skilled broker. Throughout his career, he has had the privilege of representing a diverse range of clientele, including individuals, non-profit organizations, and countless corporate clients. His expertise has been instrumental in closing transactions totaling over $675 million in the past decade alone.
Andrew’s academic background includes a BA from the University of Texas at Austin and a JD from the University of Denver College of Law. He remains actively engaged in professional organizations such as the Central Texas Association of Commercial Realtors, Austin Board of Realtors, Texas Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, State Bar of Texas, Texas Bar Foundation, and the Institute of Real Estate Management.
